YOUTH COALITION

We know when given the opportunity to be in community leadership roles, youth can add authenticity, enthusiasm, and their unique experiences.

This is why we have formed a North River Youth Coalition for teens ages 14-18. Our coalition is "By, With & For Youth", meaning that the members will drive the culture and direction of the coalition.

Ambassadors have equal input, share credit and accountability for the coalition, and collaborate with board members, local business owners, and government leaders. Interested in joining?

Teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) is a training program for teens brought to the United States by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in partnership with the Born This Way Foundation.

It teaches teens in grades 10-12, or ages 15-18, how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in their friends and peers.

What it covers:

Common signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges.

• Common signs and symptoms of a mental health crisis, particularly suicide.

• The impact of school violence and bullying on mental health.

North River Nonprofit Alliance

The NRNA began as a way for nonprofits serving the North River communities to partner and share resources during Covid.

NRNA's mission is to create partnerships and collaborations among nonprofit organizations that expand the services of each partner to strengthen and empower the community we serve and we envision A community where collaboration between agencies and organizations is the norm and the needs of residents are always met.

It has been a successful venture with many community partners meeting monthly and working together to make our community better.

If you are interested in your organization being a part of NRNA, contact Ally Bergmann at abergmann.nrpp@gmail.com.
